    Hi my name is Lisie, & I am the photographer for Caught by a Flash Photography. My life's passions are horses, art, & photography. Photography started out as a hobby, but has since grown into a career. I find photography to be an extension of my artistic passions. It also allows me to tell a story; capturing life's precious moments and developing them into lasting memories. I love what I do & feel so grateful to be doing this! When not taking pictures, I can be found spending time with my husband, 3 Corgi's, or riding my horse.

I had a wonderful photo shoot with Dana and her husband. They are expecting their first child in December. I am so excited for the both of them, they are a wonderful and adorable couple. They both shared some great laughs together during the shoot, I know they both are going to have a wonderful family as they begin this new path. We had a wonderful shoot with beautiful light, we could not have asked for better weather! Dana is beautiful and was truly glowing during our photo shoot, her baby also let us know he was having fun too, he gave her several joyous kicks!:)I hope you enjoy the images as much as I do!

Maryland Dressage Association Finals Show
{Harford Baltimore County Equine and Portrait Photographer}

Its that time of the year! Horse show associations are closing down their show season with Finals and Medal events. I am honored to be Maryland Dressage Associaton’s official photographer, I am so blessed to be around all of these wonderful people! I have formed so many new relationships as a result of this Association, so much so I have decided to also enter back into the world of Dressage. (of course I will still remain doing the Hunters as well) This past weekend the Association held their Finals show at the beautiful Equestrian Center in Harford County. The weather could not have been better! Crystal clear blue sky the entire show day! I had a blast catching up with people, sharing some laughs and even met some new people as a result!  If any of my fellow riders are looking for an association to get involved with, volunteer, show, and have fun, this MDA is wonderful!
Thanks again for a wonderful year of photographing and meeting new friends!

Not only do I love watching these ladies ride individually but I was THRILLED to watch them together,

it was AMAZING how in sync they were!

Marylands State Sport {Baltimore Equine Photographer}

I was honored to be asked recently to photograph the Maryland State Jousting Tournament which was held at Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds. Jousting is Maryland’s State Sport, which is often an unknown fact about our state. I thoroughly enjoyed watching all of the divisions, even the young Novice division which included some very young leadliners who are already learning the sport! This was a wonderful reflection of the future of the states sport! The competition can become very fierce, especially in the event of a tie between riders, the rings are switched to a much smaller size, often the rings drop down to only 1/4 of an inch! It was so fun watching , these horses don’t waste time getting down that line, and the riders must remain still, holding themselves up in the air like a jockey all while holding an often very sharp spear! Wedding Bells {Harford Baltimore Maryland Engagement and Wedding Portrait Photographer}

I had the wonderful pleasure of shooting Robin and Adams Engagement Session in September. We had beautiful weather with perfect golden light! Robin and Adam are such a cute couple and you can tell they truly know how to have fun together! Even if they are arch rivals when it comes to their favorite football teams!:DI had a blast working with this couple, I know their future is going to be filled with much love and laughter! Thank you both for allowing me to hopefully capture some of that love!

Dressage show for MDA {Baltimore Maryland Portrait & Equine Photographer}

I have the wonderful privilege to shoot for Maryland Dressage Association as their show photographer. This particular show day was perfect for photographing, the skies were slightly overcast which gave me less harsh light to fight with. I had a great time shooting in PA this time and met some new riders with the association. This was a benefit show for all the young riders who receive scholarship’s to assist with their future education.  I had a wonderful time photographing all of  the wonderful riders! It was also a blast to watch and shoot some HD video of the musical freestyle!
